Couples Therapy

Relationships are our greatest teachers. In the process of loving someone, we come face to face with some of our deepest fears. It takes tremendous courage and work to be in a relationship. Sometimes, therapy can help along this journey. With couples, I am trained in and practice primarily Emotionally Focused Therapy.

This is an attachment-focused, evidence-based therapy which helps you improve stuck communication, reduce relationship anxiety, and feel more secure and connected. It is focused on helping you understand your own emotions and behavior patterns, as well as those of your partner, in a way that is balanced so you can experience greater intimacy, and repair trust and connection. Individual Therapy

Therapy can help you know yourself, where you come from, and where you want to be. It can help you process your feelings, shift patterns, and become unstuck from what might be holding you back. I work primarily using a combination of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness.

Internal Family Systems This model understands our personality as a constellation of “inner parts” which can at times come in conflict with each other and with people around us. This type of therapy can catalyze profound change that lead to personal and relational transformation. It puts you in touch with your core “Self” energy: the essence of compassion, courage, creativity, calm, confidence, and clarity that is within us all. From accessing our Self energy we can make more empowered decisions, improve our instinct, and cultivate more harmonious relationships. I have advanced training in IFS, and have helped others learn this model by staffing trainings as a Program Assistant.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Through this model, we explore how our thoughts and behaviors affect how we feel. We take a dive into exploring automatic thoughts, core beliefs, and habits and how they might be holding us back from getting to where we want to be. We use tools such as recording thoughts, identifying unhelpful mindsets, and stepping into positive behaviors. I used my background in mindfulness and coaching to help you take steps towards growth.

Leadership Coaching

Are you ready to have a lasting impact on your team and the people around you? Do you sense there is more you can accomplish?

Coaching is different from therapy in that the primary motivation is to help you get from point A to point B, using goal-oriented and behavioral interventions. Rather than explore history and past feelings, we focus more on taking action-steps forward to bring your dreams into reality.

I am trained in leadership coaching through Presence-Based Coaching, which was developed by Doug Silsbee to help leaders become more mindful, authentic and impactful. Coaching helps you take tangible action steps to realize your potential and vision for yourself in the world. Here is a little more about this intervention here: https://presencebasedcoaching.com/
